• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Since I've purchased a factory Pitts project it's time to sell the experimental project. This was a flying airplane and has current registration, airworthiness, and logs. It is missing the nosebowl, wheel pants, firewall forward, and instruments but it is otherwise pretty much complete. It has the wolf gear and an aviation products tailwheel. This is a long fuselage built off S1D plans with Sparcraft wings. The top and lower right wings have Steen wooden leading edges installed but the lower left needs a little work before the leading edge can be glued. The tail surfaces and ailerons are through silver. It has a canopy with all the hardware. I have a set of S1D plans and Sparcraft plans. The overall construction quality is high and matches the plans from what I've seen. I have more pictures and can talk more about the details over the phone to someone interested. $8500 will buy it and I am firm on the price at this point. The only reason I'm selling is I have always wanted a factory S1 and couldn't pass up the opportunity.
