Here's the opportunity to upgrade your Vision Microsystems EPI-800 to allow resetting your own tach time for a very nominal charge.

When you have to change out the EPI-800's DPU battery, all your memory parameters are wiped out, everything can be reprogrammed by the owner except the tach time. Until now, reprogramming the tach time required sending your DPU back to the manufacturer -- NO LONGER! After this upgrade you'll be able to reset your tach time whenever you want.

I've recently acquired the tech data and tooling to perform the tach reset upgrade. The upgrade consists of a hardware modification and DPU software function check. The upgrade also includes an operations manual supplement detailing how to change your tach time with the new modifications.
