Need some advice.
I am currently preparing the ribs for the Delta variant upper wing fuel tank - which is larger (wider) than the standard Skybolt fuel tank.
It has four ribs in it with lightening holes as per plan below. My question is this... If I build the ribs as per plan, whether in flight attitude (tank level) or at rest attitude (tail low) with only the corner relief sections for fuel to flow between, I suspect the useable fuel will be limited because there is no means for it to flow between sections in the tank which lie between the ribs themselves. Is that right?
Should I drill a largish hole in the middle of the rib close to the lower flange in order to assist fuel flow between the sections? The fuel outlets are located at each end of the tank - 2 outlets that will join in the fuse to be a single fuel line into the tank selector.
Second photo is the first internal rib I have formed but it has not had lightening holes drilled yet, but does have the pilot holes I will use to drill them
