• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Hi all,

I've had some major computer woes over the last two weeks making it
difficult to post. That will hopefully be solved in just a couple of
hours. Right now I am barely able to get this laptop to limp along with
most of the cover plates off the bottom.

Below are two pics of our fuse we took about two weeks ago. We have
made a bit more progress with much of the fuse floor complete. We were
short some parts to rig the turnbuckles to hold the fuse square so we
did something a little different. We cut two pieces of ply or mdf 29
1/8" X 26" high ( perfectly square) and inserted them inside the fuse
while we tacked horizontal tubes together. It worked like a charm and
we will use a combination of this and the turnbuckle method to finish
the fuse.

NickyP,
You have two extra tubes in the fuselage sides near the fuel tank area. What are those about?
