• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Major milestone on my Skybolt project--wings finally ready for cover. Now moving on to the fuselage which is recently back from powder coat. Couple progress photos included. First time builder wondering if there is a logical order for stuffing everything into the fuselage. It seems like many if not most things likely to get in the way of whatever follows in the sequence. Any major pitfalls I should be aware of? Can anyone suggest a strategy for getting everything fabricated and installed? To list a few: fuel, electrical, instruments, sheet metal, brakes, comm, controls, floor (or heel pans), and probably several others. Would like to delay the engine (IO-360A-B) overhaul as long as possible, but there is a point where it will have to be hung to complete firewall, nose bowl, cowling and everything else in engine compartment. This forum has been an essential help in my project. As always, all input appreciated.
