• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Hello fellows!

The say you can find anything on the internet, and that is pretty much the truth!

Ever since I can remember I have wanted to build a WWI era biplane, and I think the time has come to start exploring the possibilities.

I've got a couple of more years out here in A'stan before I call it quits and come back home for good, and like most things in life, it's better if you plan ahead.

Luckily, among the fellows that work for me are a couple of competent gas welders, that are willing to start teaching me as time permits. So that's one challenge I'll have taken care of before my return.

Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself to you all, and I hope to learn a few things along the way here.

I do have one question though, and I am sure it's been asked many times, but what was the plane flown by Buc in "Second Hand Lions"? I couldn't find the search function on the forum, so if somebody might point it out I would be much obliged.

Best Regards,<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />
