A couple of weeks back I was working away in the hangar, and a guy popped his head asking for a couple of washers to fix his plane. He was a stranger in town, we got talking and he turned out to be one of those pioneering adventerous types. He had flown around the world in a biplane, flown down the Pacific rim in an amphibian, and knew Steve Wolf very well. He got to talking about his Hatz that he'd put on floats. Afterwards, he emailed me an article he'd had published in Kitplane...here it is:
