I have a one-of-a-kind experimental acro plane with wierd stick forces versus deflections. I want to increase the roundness of the leading edge from the nose section back to the hinge point. I have experimented with 1/8" balsa strips taped on to this area and the effect is about correct. Now I want to go that way permanently. The ailerons have a typical softer wooden nose with plywood glued to form the nose shape. I was thinking of gluing another piece of 1/8" plywood strips on top of this and sanding the edges to fair it in. Are there any other easier or better suggestions of what to thicken up the nose section with?
Thanks in advance,
Tom
