There were 5 photographs that were included with the original plans that came with my airplane when I bought her - the one standard "press" photo of prototype N90P in flight, 3 other shots detailing the engine mount and landing gear bungees and then the two I'm attaching here.
The first shot is of three miniplanes (from left to right) N90P, N65R (I think) and N99D. 99D was, if I'm not mistaken also built by Frank Smith. The one in the middle must also be an early build. The sign above the building at left reads "Office Coffee Shop." The handwritten note on the back reads "3 alike - '56 Ford Yellow, WACO red, trim black, #s. Looked real sharp flying formation."
The second photograph is of 5 Miniplanes - the middle three are the same ones from the first photograph (L to R - 65R, 90P, 99D). Not sure of the ones on each end. The handwritten note on the back reads "a 1959 fly-in. 7 bipes there - 5 were Miniplanes."
I know Al (my Smith's builder) went to Rockford so it is possible that he took these shots...but I have no idea.
If anyone has any information, it would be great to hear it! In any case, I thought I'd share them for interest.
