Have any of you looked into this unit?

It seems to be pretty much like the 740/730/830, only in a smaller package. I'm looking at it for a panel redo on my Pitts.

I tried calling tech support at JPI, where I sat on hold for over 10 minutes, then it was answered and hung up on. Grrrr!

I posted a question on their JPI Facebook site, and never got an answer. Grrr!

I flew a cub with one and liked it. I just put an Electronics International unit in my Eagle and the customer support is amazing. Quick call backs and email support. They even modified it so the buttons could be in the rear seat. I would check them out. I love good customer support.

JPI sells all the sending units for HUGE discounts at OSH. I have a 700 (I think, I’ll have to look) the JPI has been around a long time. They seem to be easier for me to figure out. I had a JPI fuel scan 450 in my Stinson and it was Very easy to use. I installed a EI fuel scan and it worked but wasn’t as easy to figure out. (Maybe because I had already learned and used the JPI) Either way I think you will be happy. My vote is JPI.

Yeah, I already have a EDM700 w/ fuel flow in my Globe Swift. I've always been very happy with it. I just wish JPI had better customer service. The EI CGR-30P is a nice unit, but more money than I wish to part with. Also, I'm not certain it will fit (depth-wise) in my Pitts panel.

I just finished installing the JPI EDM 350 in my Eagle. Very happy with it, and great support from JPI. I just have the CHT and EGT installed now.

Looks really slick on that panel. How hard was the wiring job? Any provision for rear seat controls of the head unit?

The kit is very complete from JPI. Everything is prewired and very plug and play. I put a 5 amp circuit breaker in the side of the electrical panel and ran the wire to the back of the gauge; that took the most amount of time. Each input from the engine (8 in my case) has two wires that need to be measured and cut, but it is very straightforward and very well labeled. The kit comes with everything needed and clear instructions. It only draws about 100 milli amps (1 Amp for start up). Other than time consuming to install, it couldn’t be more straight forward. JPI answered the phone when I called and had good answers.
I was looking for CHT and EGT on all cylinders, on one instrument and in color; this hit all my needs. It also shows current system volts. Many other engine parameters can be added very easily after the initial instal. Just tell JPI what you want and the build the harness to plug in the back.
I couldn’t be happier with it.

JPI just had a sale on the 830 so a customer of mine had me install it in his shortwing piper and so far it is easy to set up and use, so much so i got one on the sale price for my biplane. i have found JPI to be very helpful so far.
