Hi all,

I'm looking into replacing the spinner on my S-1S since it is getting old and has not been tracked properly. It is a 13" dia fiberglass spinner approx 13.5" long. I suspect it is the Vans spinner.

Got in touch with Rob at Aerographic since he makes nice CF spinners. Rob was very honest in saying his spinners were designed to address cracking issues and therefore more sturdy than the average. He suggests that despite new composite technologies, aluminum is still probably the best bet for lightweight spinners.

My S1 has an angle valve 360 so it is nose heavy by nature. I am therefore jumping on any opportunity to save weight FWF. I have a Prince prop so I need a plain dome so that I make the cutout myself.

Any experience / recommendations?

Thanks in advance,

-Dimitri
