I have bought a new-ish rebuilt O-360 which I began mounting yesterday. The old Lord mounts had a spacer/bushing between the sandwich. The new mounts did not come with spacers. I have reused the old spacers with the assumption that every application is different which is why they weren't included by Lord.

That's my first question. The second, and here is where I expect some pushback, is what bolts should be used. I bought AN7s from ACS with castellated nuts. But with the large washer at the bolt end and small washer at the nut, the nut bottoms against the unthreaded portion of the bolt before there is much compression. The new bolts are a tad longer than the original. I tried a second washer but that only added a tiny amount of torque before bottoming out. So I reused the old bolts which have longer threads and aren't predrilled for the castellated nut. I am not happy to have done that but it was the only way. The installation looks fine with no noticeable sag. Elsewhere on this forum the response to the question, "how much torque?" has been when you can feel contact with the spacer. No such feeling exist in my setup. Advice appreciated as always because I imagine having the motor stay on the mount during acro is probably preferable. :D
