Hi,

I am interested in attending the Lycoming Engine Service, and Disassembly/Reassembly School.

I already have some experience of working with motorcycle & automotive engines, but zero with aircraft engines. In the future I'd like to be able to full maintain my own Lycoming 360, i.e. from setting up the magneto's thru to an entire re-build, if required.

I live in the UK, and always enjoy visiting the U.S. - however, I am on a pretty tight budget, so need to know that it would be money well spent if I committed to a 'working holiday' in the 'States. On the one hand I could just download the relevant manuals, as required - and get stuck in.. but maybe there's more to these engines; tricks that I might pick up through attending the Lycoming school(?),

Does anyone have any experience of theses courses with Lycoming, who could shed any light through their own experiences??

Your advice much appreciated :)
