Disassembled engine comes with replacement crankshaft, bearings and intake/oil sump for aircraft conversion. $1200. Located at Brodhead in Wisconsin. This engine last ran in a GPU. No log books but the extra aircraft crankshaft has been checked and has documentation. If you want to build it up as a GPU it comes with all that weird intake and downdraft carburetor and governor system. A lot of these have been converted to a -D or D2 configuration for planes. Would make an economical homebuilt airplane engine.

The O290 is still available. Would like it gone since I won't be using it. PM me for more pictures and the crankshaft documentation.

So the case has not been converted? Does it have the large or small valve stem valves?

No but I have an STC for it to run on EX-LAX.
Try some in your Cherokee or Pitts.
Special deal this week only on Barnstormers $1000. With 2 Slick and 2 Bendix mags. Cylinders and aircraft crank are still standard. If it doesn't sell I will save it for the Hatz Fly-in at Brodhead July 17-19. My friend Tom said he'd build it up for $2500 (labor only).
See you there John.

Sorry TFF1. I replied late and out of sequence.
The cylinders have not been drilled for 1/2 inch valves. They still have a plug in one of the spark plug holes for GPU use. This engine has not yet turned a propeller.
I understand its not necessary but if I build it up I would upgrade to the 1/2 inch valves.

The nose of the case has not been trimmed. My understanding is that mod is not necessary but does save weight.

Blue Leader,
We are planning on coming to Brodhead. Tania wants to come also. Will take her to the Cheese place and the bakery. Then, insteaad of Oshkosh, we'll go to the Dells and even the Mustard Museum at Mt. Orab so she can get her mostardology certificate
