Some guys on here have bought lathes and mills and have taught themselves some basic and advanced machining skills. I know some of you will get frustrated trying to figgure out some of that on your own. To some, drilling a basic hole will seem monumental, if you've never had any experience doing it.
There is a great video learning series produced by MIT for their artificial intelligence students (robot builders). It has many lengthy videos showing how to properly use an array of machines from drill presses to milling machines, both properly and safely. I highly recommend these videos for any of you guys on the fence about building and your skills confidence. These videos will help beginners to our beloved craft!!
