I am a bit behind in posting my SA-100 progress, have been working on plumbing wiring as well as exhaust and heat muff, and want others opinion regarding the jumper wire to ground the Right Mag when it the cranking/ starting mode?

My Starduster Too just has a mag switch L R Both with out the start mode, and a start button. Son Dan has the 1200 series Mags with the shower of Sparks starting mode.

My SA-100 has the L R Both and Start mode and my question is, do I need this jumper wire, and I think I do and should install one. Along with this I have a Sky Tec light weight starter which brings up another question? I presume it is wired just like the starters on the Lycoming one main cable Approx #4 gauge wire from the Starter solenoid to the solenoid on the fly weight starter, and needs no other wire? I think this is also correct?

It is my understanding that it is rare to have starter kick back with the OEM starters on Lycomings, and as such one should install the jumper on this set up just in case. But with the fly weight Sky Tec that has more cranking power it is a must, as I have heard it is much a more common occurrence with these starters? Your thoughts opinion and expertise would be much appreciated. Dave
