• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Just realized I've never actually introduced myself to this forum.

I'm Marl----pretty unique, so that's what I go by here and on other Forums. I'm in SW GA and am recovering/rebuilding a Starduster Too. This is my secone biplane rebuild, finished an EAA Biplane a number of years ago---it's up in Indiana now (N5962V).

Have built/worked on /restored numerous planes----metal, tube and rag, composite, wood---but tube and rag is my favorite medium. I'm the Prez of our EAA chapter and serve as an EAA Tech Counselor. (If you are within 200 miles of Southwest Georgia and need a TC----gimme a holler).

Hope to have the Too flying in a couple of months---got other irons in the fire just waiting their turn.

Thanks for starting thisforum (Beej?)--I've been on and following the Starduster Forum for years---I agree with you that it seems to have been at its peak in the late '90s. Still lots of good info there---but it has kinda lost its luster since Aircraft Spruce took over (it's harder to find on the web now, and the forum is not really user friendly). I'm really glad to see a new forum that combines the knowledge of all Bipe builders in one place.
