• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Yesterday we finally accomplised a major milestone (at least for us).
The fuselage was ready to move to our hangar. For over two years now we
have been tripping over stuff and each other trying to work with tools,
the fuselage and lots of other stuff all crammed in our one-car garage.

Transportation was simple enough. Since we are building a D model, we
just gave it an inverted ride on the lumber rack of my pickup truck.
The second pic is the fuse tucked under the wing of our J-5 Cub. It is
a bit misleading because the left wheel of the Cub is sitting in a bit
of a low spot.

Next up at the hangar will be to mount the upper wing section. At home
we are building another bench (steel frame this time) and then we will
bring back the tools necessary to finish up our wings.

It's nice to have some room again.
