• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Got the November issue of Sport Aviation . It appears Mr. Wipple has reappeared and now is the new publisher of the magazine that most of us receive monthly from our guiding Organization , the EAA . Most here are old enough to remember Mr. Wipple as the Charmin toilet paper commercial Rep that always said (don't squeeze the Charmin) . If it weren't for our own , Budd D. saving the front and back covers with his article , there would have been no reason for it to be in my mailbox . I'm finding more and more that SA is no longer the attraction for those that occupied the original intent of what was created back in Hales Corners but more so now for horrific multi million dollar , Wow , look at this projects or monthly updates on Van's progress . The only reason for me to remain current with my membership is for admission purposes that allow entry and the freedom to go to the areas of interest at the Fly In in July each year . A comparison of issues of SA from the 60s , 70s , 80s to the November issue will portray where Big Bucks and Politics have diluted what we once had to what we are served today . I don't mean to be so abrasive but I feel the push and everything today is so watered down and unreal . Seems like we're supposed to accept it and like it or shut up and send the money . Sears catalogue had more benefit and way more acceptable than the pages of SA . I'm sure I'm not the only one that feels abandoned . šŸ˜« šŸ’
