Just for the heck of it. My dad and I put this together from one of the later kits - tall gear, wide fuselage, and symmetrical ailerons. It has a strong Barret engine and new Whirlwind (that I really, really like). The streamline slave struts were a great change. It’s first flight was in 1985.

    Nice one.
How many mph do you get with that prop?
    At 25/2500 and wot/2600?

Wot is 157 on a 70 degree day at 600 msl on takeoff at the end of a 6,000 runway. 25/25 is around 155. My impression is that it is a little faster than the Hartzell Certainly no slower.

    Very nice!
What did you gain from the streamlined slave struts?

That was a long time ago. I seem to recall 8mph.

You’ll have to wait for my estate to sell it. Hopefully, a long time away yet.
