This is an extremely rare 1937 color photo of a beautiful red biplane. Can you identify it?

Furthermore, the airport this was picture was taken at no longer exists. Interestingly enough, the hangar still stands. Can you identify the location? I figured the writing on the hangar makes it a little easier. :D
