• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Hello everyone,

It's been a long time dream of mine to get in a biplane. I've always admired the beauty and the nostalgic look of those aircrafts. I'm planing to get an S1-S in the very near future. However, my knowledge of the aircraft is limited at best. I hope, I can find the answers to my questions and more from the combined wealth of knowledge you can offer.

My resume is kind short but here it is anyways. In the last year I've finally finished my private and I've logged about 300 hrs in my C-150. Needless to say, I'm all but done with it. So far I've started my tailwheel training on Super Decathlon, with the idea of transitioning to a S2-B in the next 2-3 hrs. My plan is to train in the S2 until I get enough experience to get in the S1.

I'm based out of Airpark Dallas and would like to meet some of you guys in the DFW area.

Venko
