• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

I’ve been scaring the hell out of me and my family since the early 1980s, when I began to learn to fly airplanes. Airplanes, as it turns out, have been a thread throughout my life, but it took real form and function when living very close to Minuteman Airport in Stow, MA. I decided if there ever was a time to learn to fly, this was the time. Once I began, it was a steady progression. Back then, one had to have a commercial rating to fly for what was known as “AirLifeLine”, and so I persisted up to that point. Currently with about 2,000 hours, I am the caretaker who watches over a marvelous machine – a 1967 M20E Mooney named “Casper,” acquired in Kerrville, TX, where all Mooneys are born. Casper lives with Scott in the “Kingdom,” which is the northeast corner of Vermont. And now, his new hangar mate joins them - a 1972 Starduster Too, built originally by Tom Overton. This Starduster spent the last 3+ years in Canada. Now repatriated to the USA, she is trying to teach me how to fly her in the Green Mountains and over the rolling farms of the Kingdom. Bon chance, mes amis!
