I didn't find a newcomer forum so I decided I might as well post here, where others replied to a wish to build a plane.
My idea to build one comes from an odd thought: I used to build cars (from scratch), and everywhere I spoke about it, someone knew someone who also "works on cars".
It has to be a plane now. Don't know which one, I don't know many models yet.
I have an open, 2-seater, in mind, easy to build, probably with a VW engine, because I like the sound and shop nearby builds them for planes.
The Flitzer appeals to me, as does the Fisher Celebrity, also the Pitts 12 and Gee Bee.
Any suggestions, in addition to: "Read the whole forum". Which I start to do now. And, no, there is no rush!
