• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

I have a Lycoming O-320-E2D that I want to sell.
Total time is unknown.

The engine came to me partially disassembled. History is that it was removed from a Cessna 172M that was purchased at a tax auction. As such, it has no logs or paperwork of any sort. This of course means it is basically a "core".

Here is what I have:
Case with crank with rods, and cam with tappets, still mounted in the case.
(4) Cylinders and pistons, loose (not installed).
(4) Rocker covers, loose.
(3) Intake runner tubes, loose.
(1) Sump, with data plate, loose.
(8) pushrod tubes with pushrods, loose
(1) accessory case, loose

Here is what is MISSING:
(1) intake runner tube
(all) accessories, to include carb, mags, etc
And anything not listed should be assumed to be missing.

Located in Greenville, South Carolina, USA.
I will strap it to a pallet for the buyer, but the buyer is responsible for arranging shipping and any insurance desired.

Asking $3500, or acceptable offer.
