• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

After several of us wrote EAA complaining about Camp Scholler bus service last year and getting a personal reply from them I am having high hopes that the problem is addressed this year along with the over whelming bicycle traffic on the main road.
Being in somewhat 'high spirits' I decided to reserve a camping spot with electric and water for this year. I had looked it up on their website and the price was $63/day which is a little over twice the going rate for a, "spot in the hay field."
I called EAA this afternoon, they told me I could not make a reservation until after June 1 and, as their web site stated, it was, in fact, $63/day. He advised me not to wait to long as they would go quickly.
I was totally blind sided when I realized this is $63/day for every single day from the reservation date until the end of Oshkosh. From June 1 that would be a nice tidy sum of $3,654.00
I listen to the political news every night and think - - WTF !!
Now, I look at the cost of going to Oshkosh and think the same . . . . WTF !! ?
