In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

I'm getting back on the Trim Servo Tabs. I have everything I need to install the MS20001P aluminum hinge.

Question: How should the screw spacing be on the hinges. I'm riveting on anchor nuts. I see (see image below) where Tony B suggests the typical install as putting a screw, on center, of every (I'll call them) hinge wings.

I've seen others put a screw at every third or forth hinge wing. Others are spaced evenly, sometimes falling over the wing and sometimes not... just an even spacing.

Is Tony's a little over kill ? Is his the standard of the industry ? There's quite a bit of force back there.
