Just received my new Airworthiness Certificate for Model 12 S/N 002. This airplane has suffered from an identity crisis it's entire life. Originally 360KJ, then 360KC, 15BZ, and now 12XS. I had originally planned to return the plane to 360KJ for historical accuracy, this will always be Kevin and Jim's original HP prototype, but couldn't resist the opportunity I had to obtain a number 12.... not an easy task. I hope this number sticks, literally, for a while. I plan to keep the plane but know that eventually it will have to move on to a new owner. Perhaps they will accept this generic ID. May be silly but having the new N number that does not include someones initials definitely helps me feel like the plane is finally mine.
