Hello! I have sort of passed a milestone in my Pitts experience and I am looking for a vendor that makes and sells a patch with a S-2A on it. Anyone here have a favorite shop for that?

    Thanks!

    Wes

So fill us in, for those who really want to know. What milestone? All things can be found on ebay. Congrats, for whatever.

Tried eBay but did not find anything. Just got to 1000 Pitts hours and 1500 Pitts take-offs and landings. No hits, no runs, no errors.

    Thanks,

    Wes

I am hoping to find a Pitts patch that I can have a local embroidery shop add text to. Plan B is to find an S-2A graphic on the internet and use that as the base for a custom design. All in the tradition of a "party jacket" such as worn by my A-10 driver step son and to be worn at contest banquets etc.

    Thanks,

    Wes

Thanks for pointing the Aviat patch out. I did run across the Aviat patch while Google-ing. I might get one of them.

Rooting around on the internet for pictures and graphics, and messing around with the latest MS Paint program, I came up with what I hope is a simple design. I will see what local shops might charge for a 3" round embroidered piece. Likely have to buy a setup charge and qty 5 or so.

    Thanks,

    Wes

Wes, maybe try this place, EmbroideryDesigns.com [sales@embroiderydesigns.com], and have them digitize your design and then you can take that file on a USB stick to any embroidery shop and they can make it for you. If you get it digitized and no one wants do it, I will make you one of them if it is not bigger than my hoops. the problem is, I only have a single needle machine, not like those pro people who have 16 or more needles. What size are you talking about? Diameter?

    Think diameter 3".

My first choice for a local shop, who has done shirts for the IAC chapter, said minimum order 50. Still looking.

That is great looking. But it needs elliptical wings. Sorry, could not resist.
