Just curious. Does anyone know if these will work on a factory S1S experimental? It has the stock upper wing.

I believe they would/should fit and I think the ailerons would operate. Beyond that you're not going to have the same quality aileron response that factory wings or wings built to the factory prints would have. If there is something different with the aileron arms on the Sparcraft wings that could cause problems with deflections. I have a partial set or Sparcraft plans and I'll try to remember to look at them tomorrow.

We have Sparcraft gen 1 wings on our S-1S and the aileron hinge locations are not in exact same place as the factory Pitts plans call for. If im not mistaken when we measured wings this evening our hinges were 24" apart and Pitts plans show them to be slightly less. Our wings had the tip bows clipped off by previous owners but aside from that I believe nothing else in the wing has been changed. The fuselage of our airplane is a factory S-1E kit fuselage from around 1979 I believe.
