• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Thought i would share with you todays experience. During an event flying and after a rolling circle i felt something wrong with my pitch controll something that was not right. I could not move stick towards my belly. I paused a bit and tried to look back on my horisontal stab but got me no info. Asked him up front if harness was jamming the stick. It was not. Then i saw the reason. Aux fuel knob was gone. Auch... fun is over and head back. Briefed pax to embrase his face during landing. Normal flight in cruise, slowed down to see how much pitch angel i could get realising the knob was really jamming it good. Made a flat approach struggling with midday breeze 90 off runway 12 kts or more adding to the challenge. Well i am here to tell but dont like to land a pitts unstalled... it all went well with a couple of bounces. ..
