Plywood Leading Edges

I have a set of wings that currently have aluminum leading edgesthat I plan to replace with plywood. I've read the builder's guide and some older posts but I was wondering what the current consensus is regarding buying the leading edges from Steen or making your own from 2 sheets of 1/16 ply? I'm currently in the go cheap mode but don't want to sacrifice quality and I don't have a vacuum squeezer option.


Any suggestions on plywood source, glue or suck it up and order from Steen would be much appreciated.
