Hi,
I've been a hangar neighbor of Tommy's at Northwest Regional for years. When I moved my ratty, primer showing through, straight tail 150 across the way from his award winning Toots, I was a little embarrassed. Time passed. I sold the Cessna 150 and got a Cessna 140. I found the 140 pretty easy to land, and everyone told me if I could handle the 140, I'd have no trouble with a Toot. More time passed, and I sold the 140 and bought a little Toot.
I'm getting dual in a Decathalon with Charlie Yates, who also flies Toots. I've been up for spins and lots of landings. Charlie is giving me a lot of 'This behavioris like the Toot.' and 'The Toot will be different here.'
The spinsare for fun and confidence building. Charlie says I'm ready to fly a Toot. We'll be looking for a goodday, when our schedules all line up, and head for a nice grass field.
Has anybody else gone from a 140 to a Toot? Any wisdom you'd care to pass on? I'mreally looking forward to this! I'll keep you posted.
Thanks,
Liz
