Is there a consensus on priming metal spars/ ribs? I know in the way back days seaplanes were primed with zinc chromate. My thinking is that for a land plane that will be hangered primer is not necessary, but may be beneficial considering mice damage from infrequently used aircraft. If primed what suggestions Variprime? self etching? Epoxy? Randoplate? I don't think the alodine prep is going to be a practical possibility in this case. Thanks again Tom.
