• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Have gotten serious about getting done with the project I bought about 3 years ago. My buddy (IA) came by and checked the wings out for me and said they were beautiful inside (plane finished in 70). He also said how nice the welds looked. Will be changing out the Cub wheels/brakes/axles for a Matco 5.00x5 setup. My buddy is doing the work and keeps the stuff he takes off...

Trying to figure out how/where to set up my minimal electrical system. Also trying to figure out where to put my battery and will be doing some math this weekend to figure W&B (builder referenced CG off wrong wing).

Bought an O-320 last night w/400 SMOH (new cylinders) and all accessories...new mags put on 7 days before landing accident prop strike. The 400 hrs were put on the engine over a 2 yr period so it flew a lot. Waiting to hear back from shop on how much has to be replaced from inspection.

Will keep y'all posted...
