• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Just thought i'd put in a progress report to the group. I figured i'd be hitting a major slowdown with the arrival of my first son Cole. Turns out i've been able to put in mornings at the hangar. With the weather warm now progress has been good.

Today i drilled the last hole for rigging brackets in the spars. This plane is not from plans so figuring out what i needed, building mockups, producing the finished brackets and drilling the spars ended up taking 2 years to get right. Should be able to roll the plane out into the sun if/when it quits raining.

During that couple of years a lot of parts and pieces have been made and set aside. I'm starting to find that many of the parts going forward are ready. Next i'll finish my ailerons and finish running all control linkages. Seat rails need to be finished. I made some changes up front so i have some forward sheetmetal work to do.

What are you guys working on this weekend?
