I have the IO320 installed on the SA750 and working on the tank/fuel system. Need to think about prop. I going to use wood and wonder about pitch for 74" dia.?

More interested in climb than cruise. I could figure it out if I knew what speed to expect @ say 75% of the 160 hp? Or if someone has an 160 horse O320 with wood prop, what is your static rpm. I suspect I'm looking for 2500 static?

I have a 74X50 Culver but it's only 2" thick/hub(senior moment, make that 3" thick). I tried it on the O290-125 on the Spezio and it was too much pitch. I can try it on the IO320 and see what it statics but I'm doubt it's beefy enough for 160 horses?

Being cheap, I'm looking for a used prop..

W&B wise I can probably use a metal prop but I hate the weight. OTOH I might consider an inexpensive experimental metal prop.

Thanks,

Jack
