Im getting ready to build the pushrods for elevator controls. I would like to put the treaded inserts (AN490ht...) into both ends of the push rod tubes and then use female rod ends with jam nuts on both ends. My thinking is easier to build, more adjustable except that I can find left hand threaded inserts anywhere (to make it like a tie rod). Is there any reason why I should not do it this way (other than weight)???
