• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Guys, I've been continuing to work on the sqwak list. Thanks to TFF1 and Neil, the chemseal on the tank worked out well. Bret got me square on the vent and I made a new tank strap that isn't trying to pull out the top vent fitting.
I'd been following the toe in-toe out thread and with the ground handling I'd experienced I knew I needed to check mine. So after 8 months of living on the trailer it came home on, I unloaded and checked the alignment. It's ugly. Left is toed in, according to Groves web site, by 1.5+*, the right is toed out by 1/4*. I didn't bring the smart level to check the camber but it appears close checking with a level and angle gauge.
Just need to add some fiberglass diverters to the cowl, install the transponder and encoder, hang the starter and install the TBI. I'm getting close!
