• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

This is mostly of interest for europeans, as I live in Denmark and consider shipping a bit unpractical, so I would like the buyer to collect it at my address. The engine is a 9 cylinder, 315 HP M462 RF, which is the same as an Iwtschyjenko AI-14RF, licens build in Poland or Czechoslovakia. It is also identical to the well known Wedenejew engine, only the Wedenejew has more horsepower ( higher compression and another cam, I guess, but I don't know )

I bought it with a Pitts Model 12 in mind, but gave it up, as finishing my Acro Sport took much longer than expected. It is totally complete and have lived in my warm and dry workshop since removed from an East German Agricultural aircraft. It should of course be dismantled and inspected before use, but what an interesting work for the right man. A chance to get an inexpensive engine for something like a Pitts Model 12, as I only ask 3500 Euros.
