I am having a terrible time identifying the source of some radio noise in my Pitts. Wondering if anyone has had the same experience and could offer a suggested fix. I have recently replaced everything but my comm antenna and the coax that goes to it. Everything is wired properly, new MGL V10 radio, new mags, new ignition harness, BC Alternator wired per their diagram. All grounds checked. The radio works great when the engine is not running. At low idle RPM it has interference but I am able to transmit and receive marginally. At cruise RPM the radio is useless.
The little MGL V10 works awesome in other very high noise environments and should be acceptable in my Pitts. There has to be something simple I am missing. Any ideas?
