Hi I would like some feed back on my TIG welds.
I use a cheap Weldpro (Boss Weld) 200E
With a CK 17 torch
1/16 2% thoriated tungsten
#12 fupa ceramic cup and gas lens
12-14 CFH
ER 70S-2 rod .030 and 1/16
Test tubes are .030 onto .090 using .030
and a .049 tube through the .090 sheet.
One side of the .049 tube received 3 passes just to see how building up the weld looked. 1st pass was with .030 rod then 1/16.
I set 49 amps on machine and use foot pedal for tubes
And I think I set 85 Amps for the flat .090 tear drop washers and used foot pedal.
Some of the cross sections look ok to me .... but I see some voids at the root in some too.
I’m not going to be welding a fuse in this project, but bell crank mounts and horns etc..
if any TIG gurus have any tips or advice I would love to hear it.
Cheers
