It breaks my heart to post this but ife priorities (and wife) have made me consider putting my 2XS kit on the market or part trade for S2B plus cash. I have 2 young children and don't have the time to complete a build at the moment, the 2XS needs to be flying. I will be buying another kit eventually.

The kit is very complete, all new components. The lower wings have been built, upper is still in kit form. These differ significantly from the prototype. All sheet metal has been done, turtledeck, instrument panels, controls installed. Grove gundrilled gear (polished), grove wheels, brakes and master cyls. Raven locking tailwheel, main head and wing tank. Includes new factory Aviat canopy frame (S2) and components, S2 canopy will require some modification to fit, 2 tinted bubbles. Raven canopy included. Wolf Carbon cowl (and original cowl, sheet metal shaped and nose bowl included), wheel pants, all formers, nutplates installed. Andair fuel valve, some instrumentation including DC intercom, ASI (dual scale), MP, Tach, vertical card compass, lord engine mounts, engine mount for AEIO-540, Raven exhaust with polished collectors, inverted oil system, raven cold air induction, new hooker harnesses for front and rear, control cables. Fuse powder coated white, black controls.

Currently based in Australia, wings in Canada. Reasonable offers considered, lots invested and in no great rush to sell. Will consider part trade for flying S2B plus cash adjustment. Can crate for shipping.

Easy enough to build a crate and send it on over, cheaper than a container. wings would come from Rob, He has crated wings up for me before and shipped them here.

Hey Stu

Appreciate the kind offer, you are such a gentleman but sadly will have to decline.

However, because your awesome, I will do you a package deal on the 2XS and a kick ass Yak 55M.

You are right though, it will be an awesome aircraft when done. Hopefully my wife will see the light and let me keep it, Im also banned from scuba diving after a mishap I had and suck at golf so really not much left for me except fly.

Andrew

PS - Can I be an honorary member of the kiwi biplane enthusiast club? Hang on, aren't Kiwi's flightless birds that taste like chicken?

Maybe the membership should all travel to Australia for an "intervention". Friends did it for me....didnt save the motorcyle but I did get to keep the airplanes. My wife still laughs about it. Great fun. :) Edited by: Skybolt205WD

Nice one, do I get a badge?

I like the idea idea of an intervention, I was 7 with my last one, they though it was a red cordial addiction until they discovered my ADHD.

Emily (wife) is back from interstate tomorrow, the suggestion of an intervention may be enough to turn her around.

I've had a lot of interest in the beast, even a few interesting trades. Stu - it would be appreciated if you could pass on to your wife that I won't be swapping you for the 2XS.

Here's your badge. Note the wings are lying on the ground next the aircraft. Best I could do in 5min, sorry.

Interesting approach I guess, i kind of like her though. My brother in law was killed in an aircraft incident last Friday so can appreciate her concerns for now.

Wow,
Very sorry to hear that Andrew. I can surely understand her feelings. With time, I hope they'll change. God's blessing on you both.
Best regards,
Brad

No need to apologize, as pilots we know the risks.

Stu - that badge is awesome, you are clearly one talented individual. If they had a Nobel prize in awesome you would be the front runner. Also good to see some activity on your build.

2XS is staying, time to clean up the shed and get it built. Will start a gallery once I figure out how.

Deepest sympathy to you and your wife. At least get a couple of months before the big decision is made.
