In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

I'm in the process of removing the bushings from the flange of the HIO360. They are short. Have a new set ordered from Saber along with prop bolts.

I've replaced bushings in IO320's, a chore but no problem. I'm stuck on the 360. (maybe only those who have done this will understand) I've managed to take one of the 4 longest ones half way out but find the bolt used to put it can't be removed because it hits the case. I'm thinking of grinding the corners off the hex head to clear the case but am afraid that there won't be enough left to manage the torque needed when only an open end wrench will work. Maybe I will need to use a 1/2-24 allen head cap screw if indeed it will clear the case? Or am I missing something.

I should have taken a picture but you who have done it should understand.

Thanks

Jack
