• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

(Time to pull our your tiny violin) Every time I climb aboard my little monster, something new breaks. This time it’s the Christen 844. It now washes my lexan floor with several ounces of avgas on each upstroke. I am leaning towards a performance airflow aux pump and filter combined with an Andair gascolator (drain) and fuel valve. The wobble pump has all functions combined in one friendly unit. Plus, the “in” and “out” lines are both at the front of the unit. So replacing it with my new planned “investment” is going to require a hose arrangement the is proving difficult for me to imagine. Curious how those of you who have switched to electric have configured the layout. Photos would be especially welcome.

Yes, I have considered overhauling the Christen. But the one contact I have does not return my call. I am taking that as a sign.
