Hi,
I'm currently looking to buy a DR-107 in Toronto area.
The registration # C-FLIK
Imported from USA in 2003: N# unknown for the moment
Builder info: William G. Berry & J.J. Tomlinson
Modification in the gear box area was performed by previous owner (Ron Smith) ~2003 (REF.: attached pictures)
NEW landing gear installed by the current owner (stiffer)
It's a little weird that the landing gear has been replaced (wrong sized gear) by a stiffer gear (added 2" of height and 4" of splay)
The canopy was also replaced because it was too soft (probably a canopy from a Sonerai)
Radius plates and blocks was added to reduce the stress on the longerons
The 1D has been for sale for a while now IAW my friends from the current owner & the past owner... it might due to a niche market
Do you have any information about this AC (crash history) & the builders (if everything was done as per DWG)?
