Pitts S-1T, registration N731FL, experienced a loss of engine power and a subsequent impact with airport terrain short of the runway while on approach to David Wayne Hooks Memorial Airport (DWH/KDWH), Houston, Texas.
The airplane was destroyed during the accident sequence (airport localizer was also damaged. The sole pilot onboard received minor injuries.
