I have Steens picture CD and this is what they call the "bowtie" looking plate that mounts transversely between the longerons. It looks to have a bolt hole in the center that bolts through it and the aluminum spring gear to help with flexing and keeping the gear centered. Whew!
My question is what is the plates thickness, and if it is in the plans could someone post a picture of it with dimensions. It would be much appreciated. I need to adapt and make something similar for my planes spring gear.
Also what is the thickness of the Pitts spring gear (Like from Grove or others)? I'm thinking 3/4", 2024 0r 7075
Thanks
