I have a problem after the bottom wing rebuild of a Pitts S2S, the main spar bolt holes don’t line up. I can attach the rear spar and the bolt goes all the way thru but on the front spar the bolt goes thru the forward bracket and is about half a bolt thickness misaligned on the rear attach bracket. There was no major work done on the wing, just lose glue joints, and a broken walk way repaired. The crunch may be that this is the first time I have trammelled a wing, I used the “I” strut bolt holes as the reference point as this was the only place that I could see as being perpendicular to the spar. Marked out equal points on the front and rear spar and used trammel points to check that all the bays were square, before tensioning the wing checked out pretty good so not much adjustment was needed after tensioning the brace wires. Any ideas as what can cause the bolt holes to go out of alignment? <?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />
