• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Hi all!! My name is Scott....most friends call me Scottly. I am currently building a Skybolt Delta. I have completed the ribs (built up) for both the wings and center section. I am currently working on CAD drawings for the upper win center section metal parts. I will probably continue making CAD drawings for all 4130 fittings. When I am done with these, I shall make them available to others , provided I can't get into any trade-mark/copyright trouble by doing so. Since it'll be free, I can't see where that might be a problem but ya never know.
I plan on having all of my 4130 plate cut on a waterjet so there is no heat stress, that is why i am making CAD drawings.
After that is complete, I shall weld up the tank and center section, then finish my upper and lower wings. Then it's onto the fuselage.

I look forward to exchaning ideas with folks.I am located in Florida on the west coast.

Thanks for the invite to join!!!
